The Hague's contribution to The International Fringe Festival New York 2011 The Hague's contribution to The Edinburgh FRINGE Festival 2010 A way of man is a storytelling performance of one of the most famous tales in Dutch literature: Frederik van Eeden’s De Kleine Johannes. Jonathan is a boy on his quest to manhood. On this long and wonderful journey Jonathan is driven by his will to discover the ultimate truth. He meets many fantastical characters who confuse, manipulate, love and inspire him. They claim that they, and only they, can reveal this truth to him and Johnathan follows them all, fully devoted yet ready with questions. Michael&Caja are part of NOORDVOLK theatre Company and graduated from drama schools in The Hague and Amsterdam. Caja graduated from the School of Storytelling in the UK. She has wanted to tell this story for a long time because of the clear but gentle way in which Van Eeden shows that there are no absolute truths in life; there is only one’s own honesty.
